Kara topped more Oricon Charts and set more records.
The group’s DVD, Blu-ray disk, Kara Best Clips II & Shows, topped Oricon’s DVD and Blu-ray charts at the same time.
A rep from Kara’s agency DSP Media told enews on March 6, “Kara became the first foreign artist to top the DVD and Blu-ray chart at the same time. It was the fifth artist to achieve this feat among Japanese artists, following Amuro Namie, AKB48, Mr. Children and Radwimps.”
Kara’s first DVD, Kara Best Clips, also previously topped the DVD chart when it was released last year, meaning all of the DVDs in the series managed to top an Oricon Chart.
Kara Best Clips II & Shows contains the music video of Jet Coaster Love, the group’s first no. 1 single in Japan, and videos from the Japan fanmeeting held in August 2011 at the Yokohama Arena.
Kara will start promoting its sixth maxi single Speed Up/Girls Power in March.
