ReplyDeleteI would think the same reasons we all have for supporting Nicole lol. Just from the twitter stuff I've read from people that mention her, I think it's that she can be cool onstage but really just lovable and dorky on tv shows. Her sincerity translates well to them. Just my opinion lol.

ReplyDeleteMaybe it's her friendship with Acchan. It can't hurt to be seen as close to the most popular member of the biggest girl group in Japan. LOL!
But seriously I think that Nicole has just come across very well in the most recent Jpn promo. Personally Nicole has always been 4th in my faves list but she's now passed Hara who used to be one of my favourites. Gyuri and Jiyoung are always top for me but I've loved how much effort Nicole has put into improving her Japanese, promotions and her personality has shone a lot in all the TV shows.
does akp already know this? i want everyone in the world know this news~

ReplyDeleteIn the beginning of their debut, Cole was 'under the radar' because 1)Her Japanese was still lacking so she couldn't converse or be as active as the others.. 2)One of DSP strategy was to capitalise on Goo Hara's semblance to Namie Amuro hence the initial buzz on KARA surrounded Hara..
After KARA gained a sizeable followings, the fans themselves started to dig up photos/vids/news about KARA members. (For eg, if you search on Youtube, there's quite a number of Japanes-subtitled vids of KARA from their Korean variety shows, perfs etc.)
And I believe from there, they discovered what we've always known abt Nicole ~ that she is a talented, charismatic, dorky, adorable and down-to-earth girl <3
Besides that, her improved proficiency in Japanese have enable her to be more active in Japanese variety shows. Her nickname 'Nico nico' which means 'smile' and her genuine smile & eyesmile are also attracting attention. I also noticed that during their japanese stages esp towards the year end shows, Cole and Ham sang their parts clearly and beautifully... tweets, searches and Mixi club numbers for both of them hv increased substantially : )
I'm so happy for this development and look forward to our dork's achievement in 2012 :)
