KARA’s second album Super Girl, released a month ago, topped the Oricon Album Weekly Chart again.
KARA’s Super Girl, released on November 18 on online music websites, topped the Oricon Daily Chart and Weekly Chart again although it’s been a month since it was first released. The accumulated album sales of KARA’s are over 450,000, and the total shipments are over 650,000.
KARA topped the Oricon Album Weekly Chart without any special sales promotion. It proves that KARA’s popularity is still strong in Japan.
The exhibition of KARA’s costumes, pictures, messages, and videos, taking place in Nagoya and Sapporo, is very popular, as well.
According to the 44th annual rankings of 2011 (December 27, 2010~December 19, 2011), announced by the Oricon, KARA has recorded 4.93 billion yen (about 73.2 billion won) in sales of CD and DVD.
KARA members are having individual activities such as TV variety show, musical, and drama. They are also making a guest appearance in NHK’s Red and White Song Battle, an annual music show on New Year’s Eve in Japan.
