Girl group KARA is getting ready for their comeback and for their solo activites.
Last September, KARA received much love for their third album title song “Step” and they are expected to release a new album in Korea this year.
The girls are expected to bring a new image from solo songs that are to be released by each member. Nicole is expected to do a collaboration with a famous male singer and will reveal a different side of herself.
Currently KARA is preparing for their first solo concert that is to be held on February 18 and 19 at the Seoul Olympic Park Stadium, and will then follow with an Asia tour.

Kara to Release Solo Singles Before New Album
Following the success of their third album “Step," which was released last September, Kara hopes to release a new Korean record and hold a fan meeting in the first half of this year.
But before that, the members hope to show a new side to themselves by releasing solo singles. Nicole, for example, who’s known for her rap skills is expected to show her different personality by featuring in a famous male singer’s album.
Netizens reacted favorably to the news, with comments such as, “I can’t wait to hear Nicole’s track! I wonder who the male singer is?” and “A comeback album, solos and a tour, this is great.” Others wondered about the types of solo songs they’d release and gave words of encouragement.
Kara is currently preparing for their first concert tour, “KARASIA,” which kicks off on February 18 and 19 at the Olympic Park in Seoul. They then move on to other Asian countries including Japan, China and Hong Kong.

ReplyDeleteLast time Cole had a collab was "Happy... And" and "Whale", really really happy she'll have another one. I hope they release more than one song, so Cole can have a solo solo song. I really want Cole to sing an R&B ballad that suits her voice (not have her sing so high).

Finally, Cole gets to show off her vocals (which hv improved tremendously BTW) and yes, I too hope that she'll get to sing an R&B song and not the shrill notes that she sings in most of KARA's songs :)

Anticipating this solo venture of her's. I hope DSP does it probably and well, the right producer and the right collaboration partner. Please release an MV for it. I don't want to burst any bubbles here but I really hope it's not one of her friends; i.e. Key, Jinwoon, Mir, Minho, or any of those guys. I want her to work with someone new and innovative. I wouldn't mind like one of the JYJ guys, YunHo, TOP, SiWon, maybe even Dynamic Duo. I would love for her to do something with one of the Infinite boys but I rather her work with a sunbae in the industry.

I don't really mind who the male singer is as long as Cole gets to show off her singing and maybe perform together on stage.... :)
And to those who are doubting her vocals... Cole may not be a vocal powerhouse but she has proven time and time again that she can hold a tune pretty well. It's unfortunate that DSP has assigned her to sing those high shrill notes coz it doesn't really suit her 'natural' voice.
To me, she's the whole package (looks, vibe, charisma, vocals, dancing and sex appeal) .... Corii hwaitingggg!!
