I dont know where to talk about this.. When i see the post about hara solo debut, i think about how lonely and hard for Nicole to pursuit her dream.. I feel sorry for her.. Meanwhile hara received strong support from dsp, kara member, fans and people in her company..but Nicole just by herself trying hard to gain people support for her.. Too much mistreatment that she get from dsp...T_T
Luckily she brave enough to quit the contract under dsp. Hopefully her next comeback will bring more success to her...
Everything Nicole's gone through will only make her stronger and work harder. I think fan support really helped her during difficult times, so we should just focus on supporting Nicole ^^
I've been trying to keep silent regarding how things has played our since her departure with DSP and Kara, but with the sudden news if HaRa's solo activities I feel the need the express my disappointment in the situation.
I don't know what went on behind the scenes, none of us do but I can pretty much assume that Nicole expresses interest in having solo promotions as a solo artist with DSP, why wouldn't she if she wanted to remain in Kara. That would have been the ideal situation. But of course DSP had declined the request so instead of leaving outright she asked for a separate label to handle the solo promotion if need be so then she can still remain with Kara. Of course we know how all that played our. Many members of groups have done solo promotions under different labels, there was no reason for DSP to not be able to agree to that request. There could easily be a few reasons; one being DSP not recognizing solo artist activities; two, there were still friction between the label and them placing the blame on Nicole and her mother for being the catalyst for the dispute; third reason can simply be Nicole understanding that they have enough to handle within the company so she just wanted to eleviate some workload off them.
Don't tell me that the girls did not discuss their future with each other as they knew their contract was up. They probably spoke amongst themselves to express what each individuals' interests are for the future. All of that would have been discussed during their contract renewal, granted it was probably individual renewals but I believe that they all had discusses what they all wanted with each other. So to me, HaRa probably knew what Nicole wanted and if she didn't she probably would have heard it on the news. And then to have her go and say she was disappointed that both Nicole and JiYoung no longer wanted to stay was a bit disheartening when she knew that the company wasn't willing to support her group mates, especially Nicole, in what she wanted. Yes, she supports them now but that moment of judgment just felt disappointing to me.
Now that HaRa is about to venture in to a solo project with DSP it make me disappointed. Knowing that Nicole was fighting and willing to compromise to get this but ended with nothing so therefore leaving and facing backlash from fans and observers and being label as a betrayer or selfish. I get it, it probably is DSP pushing for this as they are jumping on the solo bandwagon but it really is disheartening. And I'm sorry to say, and I adore HaRa, but her agreeing to this makes me question what her real relationship is with Nicole and even with the other girls now.
After this, I can only guess that GyuRi and SeungYeon will most likely not sign with DSP again. HaRa will probably be the one staying, solely because DSP is willing to give her priority, and her wanting to carry on the Kara name. Plus she probably doesn't want YoungJi to be outcast for only joining the group for less than two years and then disbanding. Maybe this is why April is on the back burner, they might be adding new members instead of creating a whole new group. I just they open their eyes and see the company as a whole is struggling. You have three existing groups and all priorities goes to one and then you're planning another new group already, such horrible structure.
That's my rant, I'm sorry to have to express it here. There's more I want to say but I'll save it for next year once the contract renewals are finalized.
Hara's solo hasn't been released, but even the fandom is against it. When Nicole announced her solo debut of course she got bad comments but most of them were wishing her good luck even if they are not fans. MAMA was well accepted, and the time it was released was good too, so she didn't get overshadow. Hara is facing really bad comments right now, in fact we know about her singing skills... and with all the July comebacks it's going to be difficult for her to stand up. Nicole at least did it by herself, yes she needs work harder maybe but Collings appreciate how much effort she put. We should be happy for her successful debut in Japan. Isn't really easy for Koreans get into Japanese music market. Nicole is growing slowly, but being honest I rather wait for Nicole than watch her do basic and generic comebacks. I'm sure she learned a lot from her first album, now she's building her path and colour, because in the kpop industry is very important have a unique colour. Then Nicole will be know as "Nicole" for something special and not just Nicole, former KARA.
Seems I'm not the only one who thinks Gyuri and Seungyeon *maybe* won't renew their contracts due the biased actions of DSP. Nicole did what she had to follow her dreams. We know how hurted she felt when she left KARA. It was different from JiYoung since Jing really wanted to be an actress. I guess she may had express the feeling just like Nicole but the company rejected. But, oh well... It's done, Nicole is now soloist, JiYoung is an actress and KARA still KARA. Nothing will change if we complain. Let's just wait, Nicole is a hard worker and since the news about B2M merging with CJ E&M (I hope it happens) I'm looking foward! Nicole is taking her time but she will give us another good album. She forgot the cute and childish Nicole she was forced to be. What I appreciate is Nicole is doing what she wants with her music instead making her fit in something.
I was like you, thinking that Nicole learned from her first album but them something special cam and i didn't like it. Its dull, boring, and so bleh. As for Hara, thats true she is receiving hate but come on more than 20K upvotes mean that people are interested in her and even her teaser view are more than Nicole's after 10 months and hwr teasers and concept are awesome and she has a high possibility for hitting hard. Guys i love Nicole but i am realistic here. If Nicole kept this kind of romantic bullshit as her concepts she wont get any recognition. Fans supported Mama but things might become worst and even kara's sales dropped more than last year because people are interested in the newest generation. Hara is doing everything right and she is building anticipation. Nicole is not an interesting solo like HyunA and now Hara. It a shame that Nicole practiced in USA and made us believe she would go to more strong popish or r&b concept and then she came with two album one korean and the pther Japanese with forgettable songs. She will keep working with sweettunes which their music are very bland and damn boring and not creative and she will keep working with people who create boring dance.
Nicole might not be what you or other people expect her to be and that's okay.
She's still learning about who she is as a soloist. She will learn what works and what doesn't work for her. I don't think she tricked anyone by putting up her dance practice videos, she didn't make any promises. Fans will always support her because we believe in her :)
Got to say I agreed with what everyone said. I am a Kamilia or not. I actually a Nicole bias. I am a colling. When Nicole left the group i felt sad and not that interested at KARA no more. People might say that "Oh, if u are not interested in KARA anymore than you are not a Kamilia etc". But truthfully I am a Kamilia. I still watch over KARA once in a while. Read news whats going on with them etc. i was really heartbroken when i saw the news that they wanted to add a new member. But i still watched the BABY KARA show thingy. I even wanted two of them to win. I was slowly accepting that they are only 4 members in KARA now.
But, when i heard about HARA going to debut as a solo... I am so heartbroken. I didnt actually blame the KARA members, but i blamed dsp. It's obvious that DSP was holding a grudge towards Nicole. Compared how much exposure DSP gave Nicole since 2011 till 2013. If i'm not mistaken she only got one photoshoot magazine in the span of 3 years. Whereas the other girls got a lot. We also rarely see her on tv shows. Back to Hara. I'm not saying she shouldn't or can't go solo etc. it's just that the fact that dsp wont promote/let nicole debut solo really makes my heart clenched. Like damn, a stab on the heart. Why Hara can go solo but Nicole can't? Yes, hara is more popular. But it's still not fair. Yes, nicole already debut now. But, the pain tho. The unfair treatment she received affects the fans too. The only reason why i think dsp debuting hara is because Kara is losing fans. Sorry to says this but you can't deny that their popularity/fans etc are decreasing with Nicole and Jiyoung left. Furthermore, Nicole have the most international fans. And even if ones is not a fan of KARA, they are still a fans of Nicole because of her friendliness, star golden bell etc. People loves her! If just dsp promotes her. Sigh.
Anyway, i hope she will be on more tv shows at korea! I need more of her! B2m better treat her justice!
P/s: damn... So sorry to talk nonsense things at here 😅 here is the only place i can express my feelings.
am i the only one thinking and noticed hara similarities with nicole mama solo debut. hara also used hot male dancer on her mv. same as nicole using hot male dancer on her mv.
i hope in the future nicole will be a fixed member on variety show.. i really hope nicole act on drama.. and i hope nicole will be more famous than kara member.. im waiting for that day

DeleteAgree! I think they (nicole/hara/whatever) need more fan support rather than company/agencies...
DeleteAnd, who said Nicole doesnt receive support from kara member? ;)

It's not that unusual to have a good looking male dancer lol. I'm pretty sure that dancer is Matthew Kim, he is a trainee.
