It’s been revealed that KARA‘s pre-recorded stage for the ‘MBC Gayo Daejaejun‘ cost a whopping 20 billion won (~$17 million USD).
On January 31st, KARA attended Japan’s ‘NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen‘, which forced them to miss out on performing a live stage for the ’2011 MBC Gayo Daedaejun‘.
Instead, KARA presented viewers with a video of their hit songs ‘Jumping‘ and ‘Step‘. The cruise ship they performed on for their pre-recording was said to be worth $17 million USD, and to rent it for one day cost thousands of dollars.
A representative from KARA stated, “Because we felt sorry for being unable to attend the ‘Gayo Daedaejun’, we thought it would be nice to give our all for the video. By chance, we were able to make a deal with Japan’s leading shipping company, and so we shot the video for ‘Jumping’ and ‘Step’ there. This was a busy season where we got to know KARA’s status in Japan.”
KARA garnered much attention and popularity in Japan by attending several special year-end programs, such as the ‘Kohaku Uta Gassen’, ‘Japan Record Awards‘, ‘Music Station Super Live‘, and ‘FNS Festival‘.

Misleading LOL. I thought they spent 17million on a MV = =
ReplyDeletethe perf didn't seem to be that expensive and dsp would never spend that much lol
me too, i thought the MV cost 17 millions, or they buy the ship for KARA to shot, haha~~
ReplyDeleteanyways, the view really looks nice, and outfit's nice too~~
mae's right!
ReplyDeleteDSP won't spent that much for anyone.. they've never done so for ss501, Kara or any or their groups so far..
But at least they've improved a lot nowadays, they are treating KARA with more respect and love than before (i think) ....
i love that 'MV' for MBC Gayo Daejun.. has a fun aura to it. And the vid looks very polished and HQ too :)
When will you understand that the girls have a lot of credits for those improvements.
ReplyDeleteThey said that they were involved in production process but you keep pushing credits to that failure of a company.
The money that is spent on something is not coming from DSP's pocket only, girls are paying for it too.
I guess you will never learn and never change.
Idiotic misleading translation and title from AKP as usual. Makes it sound as if they paid $17 million dollars for the boat when they just rented it for $1000s of dollars.
ReplyDelete@anonymous: DSP is not a failure of a company. The girls would not have the success they have today if not for DSP.
quote : "I guess you will never learn and never change."
ReplyDeletewhat we have learned so far = KARA is the best when they are 5
what we will never change = our love for KARA and our calm, unfazed personality as Kamilia
:D
I really hate that Tittle, I know its illogical the moment I read it.
