[News] KARA will be a 5-member group for the end of the year ceremonies

KARA will be attending the end of the year stages as a 5-member group.

DSP Media told Ilgan Sports, "KARA will be at the end of the year stages. They'll be at the SBS '2013 Gayo Daejun' on the 29th, and MBC's '2013 Gayo Daejaejun' on the 31st. There's a high chance that it'll be the last 5-member KARA stage that the Korean fans may be able to see."
With Nicole's contract status up in the air and Jiyoung's contract ending in April, KARA's 5-member status is in question. DSP Media said, "Nicole's contract will last until the end of January next year. There's no confirmed schedule for next year. Until the contract ends, all possibilities are open. It's difficult to say when the 5-member KARA's last stage will be."

  1. I read "[News] KARA will be a 5-member group---" at the heading and i was like omgomgomg!!! then the rest came afterwards......anyway it's still good news since she will be in the gayos! hoping sbs, mbc, and dsp will allow her to go all out this year!

  2. I don't like how it was written/translated. "There's a high chance that it'll be the last 5-member KARA stage that the Korean fans may be able to see." You suddenly give hope but you backhanded crushed the hope. But it would have been a given that they would be five during the year end shows, Nicole's contract ends in January, I doubt she would halt her activities just because. Like she has said, she wants to continue as Kara until the end, and if it is the end, it ends in January. Besides, I doubt she would disappoint the fans, if she leaves, she knows to leave with a smile for the fans to see, giving her all one last time for the fans. So until January comes, there's no stopping her from continuing her Kara activities and seeing the fans.

    1. Yep, at this point it just seems like she's cherishing whatever time she has left with the fans especially in the fancams for DSP Festival.

  3. So...why haven't they officially come out and said that Nicole will be leaving after January? There is only about a month left, surely the decisions have been made by now right? Are they waiting til the very last minute? A small part of me thinks they'll wait to announce anything so they can get money off fans thinking any performance may be the last of KARA5 and then at the end of Jan. they'll be like "psych they'll continuing as five members." Idk, it's just bothersome. I'd rather just know so I can get rid of the little ray of hope I have and really begin to get used to the idea of Nicole leaving.

    1. There are still performances to be done until her contract ends. I suppose DSP doesn't want to rile the fans until they have too, maybe?

  4. Honestly, if DSP wanted to milk the money of the fans and make it seem as if everything they do would be the last of them as five, they did a pretty crappy job, especially with the DSP Festival concert. If they were really trying to promote it as a "final concert as five" in Korea, then they failed. The arena was quite empty.

    1. You have to take to account that the bad weather (enormous amount of snow and cold weather) made many original ticket holders not go to the concert, so I would not say the DSP Festival was a failure. Honestly I'm pretty glad that they held a DSP Festival, a gathering for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation (hardly) never happens and DSP seems to know that also.
