Kara put its name on a Japanese popularity poll as the only foreign star.

Video Research, a famous Japanese research company, held a poll called, Japan, My Celebrity, and after gathering information, ranked Kara in the 28th place. This poll included all male and female celebrities in Japan, and Kara was able to outrank popular stars, such as Aoi Yu and Nagasawa Masami, as the only foreign celebrity on the list.

With this popular poll revealing the likeability of models, Japanese companies actually use this ranking to search for the perfect model for their products. Currently, Kara is earning the respect and value as one of the most desired spokesperson, representing hair dye, food and beverage, medicine, baked goods, and other products.

Japanese advertisement companies explained the reason why Kara was receiving so much love in Japan. “We like them because all five of them have different personalities,” They said, “We also like that they try very hard to speak Japanese."

Meanwhile, Kara plans on starting its Japanese tour starting on May 16 at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo and at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama.
