KARA's Nicole was invited as the sole Korean artist to attend the 'MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2013' ('MTV VMAJ')!
That's not all as Nicole will also perform her solo Japanese track, "LOST", from her group's special album 'KARA Solo Collection'.
The vice president of VIACOM revealed, "KARA stood on stage as the representative Korean artists at the 'MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia 2012' last July. Especially Nicole, who was able to communicate through English, heated up the atmosphere. She has shown her skills and talents, so she was invited to perform a solo stage."
Stay tuned for Nicole's performance at the 'MTV VMAJ 2013' at the Makuhari Messe, Japan on the 22nd!

My wishes finally come true - to see Cole perform Lost LIVE on stage - at a prestigious & super-cool event, to boot! I'm soooo happy for Cole.
Can't help but think that this 'invitation' could most probably be due to Shirley's connections than DSP's. Whichever it is, I am content atm :)
And just like you Mae, I can't help but wonder where this might lead to ... Hey! MTV is a huge music player that can open doors for artists. We'll hv to wait and see, i guess...
In the meantime, let's sit tight and look forward to the MTV VMAJ event.. Hoping that Cole would perform Lost AND that sexy dance - it'll blow the socks of every straight guys there .. hahahaha

DeleteOMG I'M SO EXCITED FOR HER! I hope she puts on a great perf---wait I know she will. But like the other anon said, I wonder why she did a cover dance for Beyonce then. Also, it does make me a bit sad that her solo activities come from her connections instead of DSP. Just exactly what are they doing? Do they not even try to bother with her anymore?! Whatever, she's getting herself out there w/o their help and I hope this is just the beginning of lots of great solo activities for Nicole.

I feel like I'm just constantly so Nicole-deprived... I can't help but feel annoyed with how she's not receiving as much activities to do compared to the other members. And I know it may also be Nicole's decision too but still...
I guess we'll just have to see what the future has in store~

Since everyone seems to mentioning it, I too have my own opinions concerning DSP's attention towards Nicole and Ms. Shirley's connections. Remember, during the whole contract dispute it was apparently brought out that Ms. Shirley was the one who initiated the lawsuit because of unsatisfied contract agreements and distribution of incomes. So I do feel like DSP might still be somewhat walking on eggshells with Nicole where her activities are concern. Why wholeheartedly promote someone individually or as a solo when they still think that she will just leave or have opinions against it. Maybe that's why it's easier for Ms. Shirley's connections to leverage Nicole's future. Again this is just my own thoughts that is lingering at the back of my mind. That or it's probable that DSP is giving the girls the freedom to choose their projects. We all know Nicole loves to dance and her interest has grown in developing herself more as a performer be it singing and/or dancing. She wants to hone herself.

DeleteThings seemed to have change for the better, in terms of having enough rest periods, DSP moving to a better facility, and KARA just being a more happier group. If Ms. Shirley had something to do with that then that's great :)
But let's not lose focus, Nicole getting to do this is pretty big for her and it seems like this might be the starting of something new and that's great no matter who or what got her the job.
