[News] KARA’s ‘Mister’ Japanese Single Song Alone Sells Over 2 Million

Girl group KARA adds another unprecedented record in Japan.

The group’s first Japan single ‘Mister’ was released August, 2010 has sold over 2 million copies along from this one song. This record was possible as RIAJ awarded ‘Mister’ double platinum certification as master ringtone exceeded 500,000 sales.

Mister’s proved to be popular driving the addicting ‘butt dance’ all around Japan.

KARA’s ‘Mister’ is the first song ever to break 2 million copies with a single song. as a Korean artist in Japan.

KARA’s force doesn’t end here. Through 5 songs released in Japan added an additional 250,000 sales in February. The Japanese songs are close to bringing the total number to 4.95 million sales. This is a record that is significantly ahead of BoA with 3.65 million and Girls’ Generation with 2.70 million. It seems that for some time KARA’s record will not easily be broken.

KARA is to release their sixth Japanese single ‘Speed Up/Girls Power’ on March 21 and will begin their first concert tour of Japan starting April 14 at Yokohama and perform in Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo.
