Hi Mae. Your blog is so great for Nicole die hard fan like me LOL. Thanks for updating frequently ^^ I just want to voice my disappointment towards DSP regarding Nicole solo activities. Seems like they really sidelined her now after she said wont renew contract with them. This month alone 3 members (Hara,Gyul and Hammie) all got to do their own magazine photo-shoot while Jing and Hara scored some last month. She only had this Sure magazine photoshoot once.Isnt it a lil bit unfair for them to treat her like this while giving other members full attention and supports.
Some fans(of other members mostly) might said its Nicole choice to not going in any variety shows after she said she had trauma in it but I think she already solved that problem. She said that she want to try doing acting,mcing and many things when she was guesting in Japan radio shows this year. Also when this Secret Love drama director praised her for her acting and the other actor asked her about trying acting career, she didn't said she not want to act. In fact she said I would love to try acting after acted in that drama. So why still she didn't get that opportunities. Honestly its not about her trauma issue,its mostly about how DSP didn't give a damn attention to her.
For this whole year,she just doing Kara activities and nothing for solo. If we talking about her MTV Japan performance,it all happen because of her mom. Some fans pissed off about Cole's mom coz they said she want to showed off how she is close with top Japan executive producer and how she was the one influence Cole to leave Kara. Honestly I think its not the case. Still remember how she said her mom and her leaving all things behind them when they moved to Korea to pursue Nicole's dream and all this whole time,its her mom that she truly care and support her in every decision. Its natural for a mom to protect her daughter and her only child right?
I really hope that someday Nicole can do what she want and proves to them that they are wrong and she deserve to be under spotlight too and talents to be all rounders entertainer

We don't know everything that is going on behind the scenes, what we do know is what we have seen. What I've seen of Nicole is that she's honest, loyal, humble, kind, hard working, and talented. There are many more adjectives I can use to describe Nicole but I'll stop haha.
Nicole is keeping a low profile right now, I think that's on purpose. She doesn't even tweet or instagram as much as before. I'm really wondering what will happen, the days are passing by quickly. Only a couple more KARASIA dates left.
I've felt bad and upset for things that have happened in the past but I've come to a conclusion; Nicole took a BIG risk when she decided not to renew and I have to believe she did it for herself. Like you mentioned, she left her home and went to Korea at 15. If that's not ambitious, then I don't know what that is lol. She was asked last summer what it would be like for KARA in 5- 10 years and she answered that the members wanted to explore other areas of interest and that she hoped they could all come back and meet as KARA members.
To me, her tweet meant she wanted to explore Nicole Jung and not just be KARA's Nicole for her whole career. Maybe what Nicole wants to do, DSP can't support it. No one can blame her for wanting to chase more of her dreams. In SeungYeon's recent message she wrote on her fansite, she talked about wanting to accomplish more as well. KARA have been idols for 7 years (almost), 8 years for GyulHamCole if you include training and all the members are growing up and re-evaluting their lives and when that happens, things may change. It's just part of life.
Nicole's already made her decision and I think its up to each fan, if they will support her decision or not. When the final decision is made, I'll be sad but I'll be looking forward to what will happen in the future.
Agree with you. As the date of her contract due approching,she has been so silent in Twitter and Instagram world. Quite suprised she didnt upload any picture when they finished last week Karasia at Fukui like she usually did before.
Honestly, I hope she get much supports from her close friends coz I bet she must be under a lot of pressure now.

However everytime I voiced my concern, sometimes I get chided by other Kamilias who said I was imagining things. They said that DSP is treating every member fairly (yeah, rightttt).
Like those magazine shoots, Cole only had one for SURE.. I have a feeling that there hv been requests for Cole to do magshoots but somehow or rather,she never appears on any. Please don't tell me it's Cole's decision coz she already said she wanted to try everything from modelling, MCing to acting. The same goes for variety show appearances and all. Let me reiterate that Cole is the ONLY Kara member that has never gone on Running Man?! Don't tell me that Cole is uncomfortable to go on shows like that. She's on good terms with almost everyone on that show esp SpartaKook oppa. Cole has always been a 'sporty' person who loves game challenges..
All those things you described, I've felt them before and I finally learn to just keep all my emotions cool and let things unfold itself. Coz like mae said, we don't know what goes on behind the scenes.. But deep in my bones I know Cole is not happy with how DSP is treating her and that she's sacrificing a lot of her own needs and feelings to stay united with the rest and stand strong as KARA member.
So,when January comes, I don't think I am the only one who will be happy that Cole will break free from DSP. I will be sad to see the end of KARA5 but Cole was the one who got me into Kpop. And with her I shall lend my 100% support!
Cole has spent too many days being underappreciated and sidelined while her members get to do so many other things. She deserves her time in the limelight, and this will be her chance :D And yes, I fully support Cole's mother. F**k off to those fans who says that Shirley is meddling too much and making the decision for Cole. Shirley too sacrificed a lot for her daughter and just like most mothers, she wants her daughter to be successful and achieve all that she can. And she has the right to protect Cole the way she is doing now. :D
And those fans who keep telling Cole to not be greedy and to just stay with KARA !! Well, you guys are the greedy ones. You're asking a young girl to sacrifice her dreams and aspirations just so that you can have your so-called 'beautiful' 5 member group!
I srsly hope Cole would try her best to become a wonderful solo artist. Even if she doesn't come up as the 'best', I'm already proud that she worked her butt off to give it a go. Go for it Cole!!
I think it's safe to say, a lot of us had notice how Nicole seemed to left out of certain things. It's just some fans don't like to think in a way where Nicole might have been treated differently (not a in good way). I'm pretty sure those of us that paid attention to Nicole has notice several things over the years XD
Well she's making a living. Cannot blame her to want for more. Cause now that i've started working the issue with making money has become a lot clearer to me. Hence i hate it when some says she being greedy. She's only 22 which means there will be a lot more ahead of her. I hope whatever fields she might venture to she will be successful.
At this point in the game, I honestly don't think it's about the money anymore. Of course she has to make a living but I don't think money is one of the main reasons she's leaving DSP. She's surrounded herself within this business for so long that there's obvious challenges that she now wants to take on unlike before when she first debuted and was feeling hesitant about doing anything on her own. She wants growth as an entertainer, if not as a person as a whole, and the only way to do so is opening yourself up to any positive opportunities that comes your way. To me, DSP doesn't, nor are they seeming to give her those opportunities. But we will see come January. I just wish for the best, for her and the other girls as well.
I really hope before she leave we can see her in some variety like running man barefoot friend whatever I don't care. Just please.... I really want to see her in anything. Momento before she leaves, so I can look at it again and again ; ((
