[News] KARA draws 12,000 fans for their first Japanese fan meeting

At their first Japanese fan meeting, the ladies of KARA were pleasantly surprised by greetings from approximately 12,000 screaming fans!

The 2-hour-long fan meeting, ‘Things I Want to Say, KARA JAPAN COMEBACK‘, was held at the Yokohama Arena.  This was their first fan meet-up following their fan club’s inauguration ceremony last May and featured a mini-concert with their most popular tracks.  According to DSP Media, die-hard fans started queuing quite early in the morning to get a chance to see the girls in person.

“This is our first fan meeting following our Japanese debut so we were waiting for it. Let’s have an exciting time together,” KARA said at the kickoff, following it with performances of “Lupin“, “Wanna“, “Jet Coaster Love“, and “GOGO Summer“.

Kara ended the fan meeting with a performance of “Mister“, however, the five ladies were forced to return to the stage following a ten-minute-long round of applause asking for an encore.  After performing two more songs, including “Pretty Girl“, the fan meeting came to a successful close.

On August 6, girl group KARA saw the results of their popularity when they held a fan meeting at Yokohama Arena, a venue that can accommodate up to 17,000 people.

At the beginning of the fan meeting, KARA's Nicole said, "Everyone's hot! Don't you think? Today, let's have fun together!" The girl group then performed 10 songs for their fans, including hit songs like "Mister" and "Go Go Summer".

A game corner was also held during the fan meeting, allowing those who attended to interact with the girls. Later, Nicole promised, "Next year, KARA will have a concert!"

At the Yokohama Arena fan meeting, KARA saw about 10,000 of their fans, making the event the largest they've ever done. An excited Seungyeon began tearing up, saying, "Kamilias are wonders!"

On August 6th, KARA held a fan meeting at Yokohama Arena for 10,000 fans, titled ‘JAPAN COME BACK 2011 (Ima, Okuritai Kotoba…)‘.

The girls showed off their cute and sexy side singing 10 tracks, including their newest single “GO GO Summer!”, the popular butt dance song “Mister”, and “Jumping”.

This is KARA’s 3rd fan meeting, but it is their first time holding such a large a scale event. Leader Gyuri (23) called out to the excited fans in regards to their past disbandment crisis, “You all supported us, so we were able to do our very best. We want to show you guys how grateful we are.”

Originally scheduled for 1.5 hours, the event actually lasted about two hours.  During the fan meeting, Nicole (19) commented with tears in her eyes, “Next year we want to have a concert!”  The girls finished up by tossing used towels and balls into the audience.
