[News] 11.12.18. Kara named the most popular K-Pop star in Japan

Group Kara has been selected as the most popular K-Pop star in Japan for the year 2011.

Oricon‘s weekly entertainment magazine OriStar reported on their latest issue, ‘Kara is ranked #1 for the 2011 Most Popular International Star Special, Korean Artist Category’.

Another powerhouse girl group SNSD has been placed #2, followed by Jang Geun Suk, TVXQ, and 2PM, rounding out the top 5.

The reasons for selecting Kara OriStar stated, “Their 2nd album ‘Super Girl’ has ranked #1 on the Oricon chart and the sales number has been very impressive. Kara is also on many TV commercials in Japan and their popularity has solidified even more”.
