“KARA and 2NE1 use hotels. Although temporary, the cost in comparison with efficiency is good.”
Idols that have recently debuted in Japan in the last year or so tend to grab hotels as a means for lodging. This is because they don’t have long periods of actives in Japan at a time. Whenever activities pop up, these groups come visit for shorter periods of time. However, with each group, which hotels they choose and how they use them are a bit different.
Kara and 2NE1 in particular use a designated hotel. In Kara’s case they have a long-term contract with a well known hotel in Akasaka. When Kara decides to stay in Japan, this hotel agreed to provide them their designated rooms and not take guests in rooms around them. For meals, they usually take use of hotel meals, eat where they are carrying out their activities, and sometimes go out for Korean at Akasaka or Shinjuku.

LOL I know KARA aren't staying in shacks. But I thought it'd be nice to have some sort of residence there since they will be going back and forth to Japan for probably their whole careers. So the girls don't feel like they are just living out of their suitcases in hotel rooms, it would be nice to have place where they can feel like it's somewhat a home :) Besides, KARA saves DSP money by not dorming in Korea. KARA's done a lot and I don't it's too much to want the girls to be treated like princesses.. well I don't think it is.
Saw Gyuri's tweet to Eujung that KARA will be in Japan for a month...
kara used to have a cook at their apartment. hotels are better is someways. more privacy if you read the cnblue part. it's more of a luxury to live in hotels too. hotel food is usually awesome. no need to blame every single thing on umj/dsp.
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting, I really didn't think so much about where they stay and how they had meals. To me most of these idols are just on my CD for me to listen to, I don't like to get to involved in idol groups, they don't really care about their fans, and most of them are there for the money, it's their job, nothing more. LOL they're not like your typical American musician ,who don't usually care about their fans ,well of course they do it for the money ,but they care as much for the fans as the fans do for them too. It's not your regular desk job. They live to entertain the fans in return for their undying support. It's a beautiful thing really :)
What do you think?
"a well known hotel in Akasaka" isn't bad, they even get to block off the rooms around them. There's a VIP access for privacy, there's maid services, hotel food (considering they are on diet when they are promoting).
ReplyDeleteWho knows it could be Ritz-Carlton, Grand Hyatt, Capitol Hotel, or InterContinental.
Honestly, in the long run, I think KARA is saving more money compared to SNSD anyway since they make the most of the rooms when they need them as opposed to leaving a villa empty for a couple months.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention, SNSD has more members so I doubt they can score the same contract with hotels, because hotels need to use the space for other people as well.
@maigaray :

Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka...
