[News] 11.12.06. KARA and SNSD may appear on both Korean and Japanese ‘end of the year music show’

Girl groups SNSD and KARA may appear on both Korean and Japanese end of the year special live programs.
KARA and SNSD will appear on the 62nd NHK’s Kōhaku Uta Gassen, which will air live on December 31 at 7:15 p.m.

The program is one of the best year-end special pop music programs. Just appearing on the show is considered a great honor.

KARA and SNSD won the chance to appear on the program within 2 years of their Japanese debut.
The two K-pop groups will show off their unique charms on the program. They both are on the red team and KARA was chosen over 50 other singers to perform on the opening stage.

KARA and SNSD were also very active in Korea this year. There is a definite possibility that they will appear at the ’2011 MBC Gayo Daejejeon,’ which will be held on the same day, December 31.
The two groups, however, will appear on Kōhaku Uta Gassen so it will be hard to attend the ’2011 MBC Gayo Daejejeon.’ Therefore, MBC has planned to record KARA and SNSD’s performances in Japan and air them on TV in Korea.

On November 6, an official for MBC said, “There is nothing sure about it but we are currently discussing it with KARA and SNSD. I think we will record their performances in Japan on December 31, prior to our show and we will air it during the show.”

As a result, KARA and SNSD may appear on both Korean and Japanese end of the year special music programs simultaneously.

  2. There's a list going around that KARA will be at SBS end of year show, so maybe interactions are still possible :)
